The Glory of It All

At a tired moment of my day, planning a lesson for tomorrow, this song by David Crowder Band came on my iTunes:

For the glory of it all

You came here

For the rescue of us all

That we may live

For the glory of it all

He is here

With redemption from the fall

That we may live

For the glory of it all

The glory of it all

We will never be the same

We will never be the same

We will never be the same

This was a song that encouraged me as I was applying for my current job, praying and hoping to get it. It

was inspiring me that God has saved us for His greater plan, and our lives are used to bring glory to Him.

I definitely needed that reminder right now.

I needed to worship and get over myself, remembering why it is I even breath, why God saved me, why I desire to have the job that I do, why I need to live a life contrary to what the world says is valuable/fulfilling/successful for someone in their 20’s.

I’m also brought back to my times at CBU when I was so overwhelmed by worship during chapels, with serving in Turkey, with quiet devotional time where God imparted truth to me, with thinking and dreaming big dreams for my life that would be realized, and are being realized right now. I just miss it so often.
